SUP Safer course
The Paddle UK SUP Safer course is designed for those who may be comparatively new to paddleboarding and want to learn some vital basics before heading out on their new board. During the course we will look at suitable equipment you might need, where to find safe venues appropriate for a beginner and appreciate potential hazards and how to avoid or manage them, planning an enjoyable safe trip, and how to help both yourself and others in the water.
This is a practical course, packed with safe practical solutions. There is no assessment – this is all about having the opportunity to learn how to keep yourself safe and practice useful some techniques on the water.
The SUP Safer course is around 4 hours duration.

The course usually takes place on sheltered water in Langport.
What to bring:
Bring your usual paddling gear and board and some dry clothes for afterwards. Since we will be spending some time in the water as well as on it a wetsuit is very useful if you have access to one!

We will supply a range of equipment for you to try out. If you don’t already possess them we can supply wetsuits, paddleboards and buoyancy aids etc
